Children's services in Doncaster overall remain "inadequate" according to a report due out this morning. The latest Ofsted inspection's looked at the experiences of children and young people who've needed help and protection as well as those in and fostering and adoption. A new trust, the first of its kind, took over from the council last October.
Chief Executive Paul Moffat told us they have made some progress but they know there's still a long way to go: "It doesn't say there are any widespread failings or systemic failings in Doncaster. So even though it's an inadequate judgement, it reflects on where we are at the moment but it recognises we've moved on significantly since 2012"
