Man arrested on suspicion of murder after 37 year old woman dies in Rotherham
A 43 year old man is being questioned
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a 37-year-old woman in Rotherham.
Police were called at 5.46pm on Sunday (February 15) by the ambulance service after the woman passed away at a property on Clough Street.
A 43-year-old man suspect remains in police custody, while investigations into the cause of death are ongoing.
The woman's family has been informed and is receiving support from officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and are focused on establishing the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident."
"We have a team of detectives hard at work to achieve this and ultimately uncover answers for the deceased's loved ones.

A referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct because of earlier contact between the victim and officers.
