Motorcyclist left with life changing injuries after crash in Sheffield

A motorcyclist is in hospital with life changing injuries after a crash in Sheffield yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Owlthorpe Greenway yesterday (11th February) after 2pm following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike.

It is believed that the rider of a Kawasaki ZX600 collided with a black Hyundai I30.

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, that are not believed to be life-threatening but are life altering.

In a statement South Yorkshire Police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses, dashcam and information following a Sheffield collision that has left a motorcyclist with life-changing injuries.

"Emergency services attended Owlthorpe Greenway in Sheffield yesterday (Sunday 11 February) just after 2pm following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcyclist.

"It is believed that the rider of a Kawasaki ZX600 collided with a black Hyundai I30.

"The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but are life altering.

"The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiry.
