Two men have been jailed for a combined 33 years after stabbing a man during a street fight in Sheffield.

Police said Armend Xhika was stabbed during a fight in May 2021, following a row over a crash he was blamed for.

26-year-old Marsid Senia and 29-year-old Mentov Selmani were acquitted of murder earlier this year, but found guilty of manslaughter.

Selamani was told he’ll spend 20 years in prison, while Senia will spend 13 years and 4 months in prison.

Both were told they’ll be deported on release.

Speaking after their convictions, South Yorkshire Police Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Simon Cartwright said: “Armend lost his life at the hands of others for damage to a vehicle.

"He would not have died if those involved in his death were not intent on causing him harm and getting their ‘justice’ for a material possession."

Detectives are still searching for two men in connection with his death, brothers Eljaso Cela, 28, and 26-year-old Mateo Cela.
