Chesterfield FC have secured the signing of experienced defender Kyle McFadzean, on a permanent transfer from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

The 37 year old started his career at Sheffield United, also enjoying spells at Alfreton Town, Crawley Town, MK Dons, Burton Albion and Coventry City.

Speaking to the club website, Kyle said: “I’m delighted to get it over the line now and I can’t wait to get started to be honest.

“The main thing is to come here and try and help the lads get what they want to do and that’s to get promoted. That’s a big thing for me.”
