A man has been left seriously injured after being trampled by cows in a field in Derbyshire.
Emergency services were called to Birkinstyle Lane in Shirland on Friday morning (24 May).
The man, who is in his 50s, is in hospital, while police say his injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.
The cows have now been moved away from members of the public.
But police are reminding people to take care around livestock while walking.
Derbyshire Police said: "The Countryside Code advises that wild animals, livestock and horses should been given plenty of space.
"The behaviour of animals can be unpredictable, especially when they are with their young.
"And the Ramblers Association advises that if walking through a field with cattle or other farm animals, you should walk quickly and quietly.
"It is possible that animals may approach you but if you panic or run from them, they may also start running.
"Walkers should not approach any animals, feed them or touch them and should leave any gates as they find them.
"If walking with a dog, you should keep your dog close and on a lead around other animals.
"If cattle run towards you, or you feel in any danger, let your dog off the lead. This will make it easier for you both to get to safety."
