A man has been jailed after being found with a gun, ammunition and drugs in a street in Sheffield.

Hassan Mohammed was stopped by plain-clothed police officers in January, who found him with the weapons.

The 23-year-old was also found with a knife, Class A drugs and nearly £400 in cash, along with three mobile phones.

Police then searched his house, finding a large amount of heavy drugs, confirmed to be heroin and cocaine.

Mohammed, of Edward Street, pleaded guilty to offences including possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition without a certificate and possession of criminal property.

He has been sentenced to 11 years in jail.
