Man hurt after suspected assault near Sheffield pub
South Yorkshire Police say a man is in hospital with a head injury
An investigation has started after a man in his 30s was taken to hospital following a suspected assault in Sheffield.
South Yorkshire Police say they were called at 8.37pm on Saturday 19 April to reports of an assault near to The Sherwood pub in Birley Moor Road.
The man was taken to hospital, with a head injury, where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident and anyone who may have dashcam footage prior to, or after, what happened.
