Man charged with New Year's Eve murder

A 30-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 41-year-old Zabair Hussain on New Year’s Eve in Sheffield.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 41-year-old Zabair Hussain on New Year’s Eve in Sheffield. Idris Sadiq, of Darnall Road, Darnall, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody.

He'll appear at Crown Court on February 4th.

Mr Hussain was found with multiple injuries to his head and body in Staniforth Road, Darnall, and died a short time later. Two other men remain on bail in connection to the investigation: a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses.
