A man's been left with potentially life altering injuries after being attacked with what is thought to have been a meat cleaver in Doncaster. **At about 1.10am on Monday morning, it's reported the victim was alerted to someone outside his home on Marshland Road, Moorends. When the 69-year-old went outside to confront the offender, who was riding a push bike, he was assaulted with what is believed to have been a meat cleaver. The man suffered a minor facial injury and a serious and potentially life altering injury to his hand. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.**
