Man arrested after Sheffield shooting
24 year old being questionned after incident at London Road
A 24 year old man's been arrested after a shooting was reported on Good Friday lunchtime in Sheffield.
Witnesses say a man on a moped fired a gun twice and then there was an altercation between him and two other men.
It happened at London Road at 12.40 with the men having their dispute on Hill Street.
No injuries have been reported.
Superintendent Colin McFarlane said: "The investigation is in the very early stages and a section of London Road has been cordoned off while officers begin initial enquires at the scene of the incident.
"A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remains in police custody at this time.
"There will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the rest of the afternoon and over the coming days to offer reassurance to the local community.
