Witnesses sought after chain stolen in knifepoint robbery in Sheffield

A man has been arrested after a knifepoint robbery in Sheffield which saw jewellery stolen in a supermarket carpark.

The incident happened at 5:45pm on Monday outside a Lidl on Alison Crescent, two people were involved in snatching a chain from around the victim's neck.

One person has since been detained on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed weapon.

Witnesses are being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
