Man charged in connection with murder of Kevin Pokuta in Sheffield

A man has been charged in connection with the murder of Kevin Potuka in Sheffield last December.

22-year-old Jake Brown from Sheffield has been charged with Kevin's murder after he was fatally shot in the early hours of December 12th last year.

Pokuta was shot on Page Hall Road in the north of the city, and emergency services were called to the scene shortly after.

Responders rushed Kevin to hospital for urgent medical treatment, but unfortunately nothing could be done and Kevin was pronounced dead the next day (December 13th).

Following the incident, South Yorkshire Police launched an investigation to determine who was responsible for his death, arresting 11 people during their enquiries.

Brown was charged with Pokuta's murder on Sunday (February 25th), as well as conspiracy to rob and two counts of possession of a firearms with intent to endanger life.

As well as this, Brown is charged with the attempted murder of a second person who was also in the car at the time of the shooting.

Brown will appear in court on Monday (February 26th) in connection with the charges.
