House of Commons pays tribute to MP Harry Harpham
Tributes have been paid in the House of Commons to Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough MP Harry Harpham, who died of cancer last week.
Speaking during Prime Minister's Questions, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called him a 'decent and honourable man':
"Just a short time ago, Harry used his last question here to ask the Prime Minister questions about Sheffield Forgemasters and the steel industry.
"I hope the Prime Minister will reflect on his diligence in representing that industry and his constituency."
David Cameron also paid tribute: "While he was only in this place a short time, he quickly became a popular MP, recognised for his commitment to his constituents and his believes. It's a measure of the man that he continued to carry out his work as an MP throughout his treatment.
"We offer his wife Jill and his five children our profound condolences."
The 61-year-old died on 4th February from cancer.
