HGV driver killed in Goldthorpe Bypass crash
Police were called to a collision involving two HGVs and two cars this morning
An HGV driver has died, after a collision on the A635 Goldthorpe Bypass.
South Yorkshire Police say officers were called to reports of a collision involving two HGVs and two cars at 7.24am.
One of the HGV drivers died from his injuries. His family are being supported by specialist police officers.
The second HGV driver is in hospital in a serious condition.
The occupants of both cars suffered minor injuries.
The road has been closed for most of the day, and officers say it is likely to continue for some time.
