Two charged after gun fired at building in Barnsley

Nobody was hurt during the incident on January 21.

Two men have been charged after a gun was fired at a building in Barnsley last month.

Police were called to Cemetery Road at 9.45pm on January 21.

Specialist firearms officers attended and determined that the damage was consistent with a firearm being used.

No injuries were reported.

Daniel Galfsky, 35, of Silkstone View, has been charged with possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence and criminal damage.

Jamie Galfsky, 36, of Oak Close, has been charged with possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence.

Both men have been remanded in custody and appeared at Barnsley Magistrates' Court today.

A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms offences, along with a 28-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, all remain on police bail.
