A fundraiser and family friend has paid fresh tributes to one of three men who died in a crash in Kiveton Park on Sunday.

Ryan Geddes was travelling in a car with his two friends, Mason Hall and Martin Ward, when they hit a tree in Kiveton Lane.

The three men were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Speaking at a vigil held for Ryan last night, Robert Askham revealed he and his partner were expecting a baby.

"The family don't deserve it," Robert said. "It's just a horrendous situation to be in".

Tributes at the scene of the crash

Robert has now set up a fundraising page to help Ryan's family cover the cost of his funeral.

He said any more left afterwards will be given to Ryan's baby, to help them have the "best start in life."

A statement on the Go Fund Me page set up by Robert reads: "Any amount you can spare would be very gratefully received and would help lift the financial burden that Ryan's parents, Natalie and Ian, face at this awful time and will go someway towards giving Ryan the goodbye he deserves."

Organisers are trying to raise £6,000.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
