Fatal collision on Sheffield Parkway
A 22-year-old man has died in a collision off the Sheffield Parkway.
A 22-year-old man has died in a collision off the Sheffield Parkway.
A call was received by police at around 2.30pm on Monday afternoon that the man had failed to turn up for work.
Officers were deployed and the man and his car, a black Ford Fiesta, were found at the bottom of an embankment off the Sheffield Parkway, between the junction for Catcliffe and the motorway roundabout.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Formal identification has not yet taken place however the man’s family have been informed and are receiving support.
An investigation is underway, however at this time, police say there does not appear to have been any other vehicles involved.
