E-fit released after boy threatened with meat cleaver

Police investigating reports of a teenage boy being threatened by a man with a meat cleaver in Greasbrough have released an e-fit image of someone they want to trace.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Boxing Day when the 14-year-old boy was with friends in a park in the Potter Hill area. It is reported that a man approached him and threatened him with what is believed to be a meat cleaver, before leaving the park.

The man is described as being white, in his 50s, and was reportedly wearing black trousers, a black jacket and brown boots.

Anyone who recognises the man or saw what happened is asked to contact the police on 101.
