Doncaster woman jailed for robbery
A Doncaster woman has been jailed for three years and eight months after robbing a taxi driver during an attack.
Casey Wilkins who is 28 years old of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to robbery.
She stole a wallet and charge bag during the incident.
Detective Constable Joseph Albutt, who was the officer in charge of this case, said:
"Officers responded promptly to reports of the robbery, leading to Wilkins being arrested within minutes of the offence.
"The level of incriminating evidence against her meant she had no choice but to plead guilty to this offence and I am pleased she has now been given a significant custodial sentence.
"This was a violent attack on an innocent taxi driver going about his daily business.
