Doncaster Sheffield Airport Announces New Deal With Flybe.

A new long-term deal between Robin Hood Airport and Flybe airlines see's the airport making a transformational step forward.

Doncaster Sheffield airport has announced a new long-term agreement with Flybe airlines that will see 8 new routes depart from the airport.

By next year this is hoped to have doubled passenger numbers and growth in the number of flight destinations offered to customers.

The move which has been described as transformational is believed to make Doncaster Sheffield airport one of the fastest growing in the country.

Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development for the airport said:

"this is a huge step forward for the airport, it will increase confidence in the airports capabilities, and lead to more airlines wanting to fly from Robin Hood. "

The airport is hoping the move will improve the local tourism industry by increasing the need for local hotels, and also visitors to local tourist attractions.

The official routes will be announced next week, but the increased number of flights will reach more popular destinations across Europe.
