A Doncaster man is charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in the city centre

Officers were called at half past 10 on Friday evening to reports of a man with stab wounds - who was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A Doncaster man is charged with attempted murder in connection to a stabbing in the city centre earlier this weekend.

It is reported that on Friday 26 July, at 10:25pm, a man working in the city centre suffered stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

33 year old Andrew Thompson of Kentmere drive in Lakeside, Doncaster is charged with attempted murder, four counts of possession of an offensive weapon, and assault.

He will appear before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (29 July).
