Detectives investigating the death of Lewis Siddall will appeal for information outside Doncaster's VDKA bar tonight in a bid to find potential witnesses. Police hope to make contact with anyone who was at the bar the same time last week who might have seen what happened. Officers will be there between 9pm and midnight, and it is hoped potential witnesses could help with their ongoing inquiry. A murder investigation was launched after Mr Siddall, 24, was found dead at his home in Skellow, Doncaster, on Friday 14 August, after he was allegedly assaulted at the bar at around 11pm the night before (Thursday 13 August). He died as a result of a head injury. Detective Chief Inspector Steve Handley, who is leading the inquiry, said: "The investigation is still in the very early stages and we are carrying out a vast amount of work to establish the full facts about what happened to Mr Siddall. "A team of officers will have a clear presence in Silver Street outside the VDKA bar tonight - we will be there simply to speak to anyone who might have information about what happened. "We are committed to finding answers for Mr Siddall's family and urge anyone with information to tell us what they know." A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
