A man has been found guilty of murdering a teenager in Sheffield last year by running him down with a car.
16-year-old Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Taleb died after he was struck by an Audi S3 on Staniforth Road last June.
21-year-old Zulkernain Ahmed of Locke Drive, who was behind the wheel, has been convicted of murder today at Sheffield Crown Court.
His brother 26-year-old Armaan Ahmed, who was also in the car, has been convicted of manslaughter but cleared of murder.
A third man, 30-year-old Adam Mohammed, has been cleared of both murder and manslaughter.
Jurors deliberated for over 17 hours before coming to a decision today.
During the trial they saw graphic video footage of the vehicle moving to the wrong side of the road, colliding with an e-bike rider called La'rome Divers, knocking him over a hedge.
The car then hit Abdullah, who was thrown through the air by the impact.
He was treated for 'catastrophic' injuries at the scene and was later pronounced dead at the Northern General Hospital.
The death of the teenage victim came after he'd only been in the UK for a few weeks after fleeing Yemen.
Zulkernain Ahmed admitted manslaughter before the start of this trial.
A fourth man, Zain Ahmed, who was in the car, is believed to have fled the country & remains wanted by police.
Detective Chief Inspector Benjamin Wood, the Senior Investigating Officer for South Yorkshire Police, said: "This was a heartbreaking case which was entirely avoidable. Abdullah was a completely innocent boy who had his whole life ahead of him.
"The reckless, reprehensible behaviour of Zulkernain and Amaan Ahmed has left a family facing the devastating reality of never seeing their son again. Our thoughts remain with them."
