Police are set to investigate after a fire at a disused building in Chesterfield, which fire crews have been unable to determine the cause of.

Emergency services were called to the disused two storey property on Old Road at 5:23pm on Tuesday.

Crews used an aerial ladder and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames, with no injuries reported.

Fire crews from Chesterfield, Matlock, Staveley, and Clay Cross were involved - staying until 3:30am the following morning.

Damage was such that they've been unable to find the exact source of the flames.
