Four taken to hospital after chemical fire in Sheffield laboratory
Five fire crews and a hazardous material unit attended the scene last night
Four people have been taken to hospital as a precaution after a chemical fire at a Sheffield business yesterday afternoon.
South Yorkshire and Fire and Rescue say they were called at 5:05pm to Bailey Street.
Five fire engines attended the scene, along with a hazardous material unit.
Two specialist officers entered the lab to assess the situation and make the room safe, before firefighters with breathing apparatus went in to put the fire out.
The incident was dealt with by 7:13pm.
