Sheffield contact centre specialists CC33 and City Taxis are set to go head-to-head in a charity football match to raise money for Cash for Kids.

CC33, based on Ecclesall Road, has organised the charity game, which is set to take place on 10 May at Doncaster Rovers’ Eco Power Stadium.

City Taxis were invited to be CC33’s opponents on the condition that they made a donation to Cash for Kids, CC33’s chosen charity. City Taxis, who are long-standing supporters of Cash for Kids, accepted the offer and are ready to take on the challenge.

The event is part of CC33’s pledge to raise £10,000 for Cash for Kids in 2022. The company’s Managing Director, Paul Fletcher, was appointed to the charity’s executive board and has already completed the Sheffield Half Marathon to raise funds.

Paul Fletcher said: “We’re so excited that City Taxis has agreed to be our opponents and we know it is going to be a super competitive match against them, as well as a great occasion.

“All of us at CC33 care so much about our local community and I’m so proud to be working with such a worthy charity like Cash for Kids. The charity means a lot to me, and we’ve organised football matches in the past to raise money for them.

“I’d like to thank City Taxis for their generous donation and their ongoing support for Cash for Kids which is hugely appreciated by the charity. We look forward to facing them and may the best team win!”

City Taxis’ Managing Director, Arnie Singh said: “When Paul approached us with the news that CC33 were putting on a charity football match, we were eager to get involved, particularly as we’ve supported Cash for Kids for many years.

“We are very much looking forward to getting our staff, friends, and associates on the pitch!”
