A South Yorkshire woman - who's just moved back into her house - after it was damaged in the flooding from Storm Babet last year - says the entire experience has been 'frustrating'.

Jane Sharp & her husband had been living in a caravan in their garden - until they were finally able to move back into their home in Catcliffe last week.

She says it's been a 'testing' time:

"It's nice to get back to normal - not with the inconvenience of maintaining a caravan.

"This whole process has been emotional.

"We coped with it all pretty well until about a month before we thought it was going to be finished, and then it wasn't, and we kind of had a meltdown.

"We're still here though, and after all it's only bricks and mortar.

"Me and my husband are both in our sixties - we don't want this again in a decade.

"We're not going to be fit enough to start lifting furniture, stacking stuff, and emptying cupboards."

An Environment Agency spokesperson said:

“Our incident teams work round the clock to prepare for flooding, including clearing screens and removing debris as well as issuing flood alerts and warnings."
