Cat kicked to death in Doncaster robbery

An investigation is underway following a robbery in the Thorne area of Doncaster. The incident happened at around 10.20pm on Sunday 1 May when four men broke into a flat in St Nicholas Road. The men searched the flat before taking a cash. One of the men allegedly assaulted a woman inside the flat, who suffered minor injuries. During the incident, the woman’s three-year-old cat was kicked by one of the men. It died five days later as a result of the incident. Detective Constable Nina Frost, the investigating officer, said: “This was a nasty attack and I am thankful that the woman in the property was not seriously injured. “I would like to appeal to anyone who knows who could be responsible to come forward and contact police. “If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or have any information please call 101 quoting incident number 1218 of 1 May 2016.” All four men are described as white. One of the men is described as wearing a dark coloured jacket and dark jeans with a stripe down the side. A second man is believed to be in his mid-30s, of a large build with stubble and dark brown hair. He is thought to have been wearing a black jacket. Another of the alleged offenders is described as aged in his early 40s, about 5ft 7ins tall with dark hair and stubble. He is believed to have been wearing tracksuit bottoms.
