A Sheffield man has been sentenced to two years in a young offenders institution, after police seized over 100 cannabis plants from a Rotherham home last year.

It follows a raid on Claremont Street last December, during which 117 plants were discovered growing across four different rooms.

19 year old Aldo Hasani was arrested in an upstairs bedroom.

Hasani, of Cromford Street, admitted production of a Class B drug at Sheffield Crown Court, where he was sentenced last week.

Detective Constable Henwood from our Fortify Team, said: "Drugs are linked to organised criminality, which brings havoc, violence and fear to our local communities.

"This is not acceptable."

"We are dedicated to gathering intelligence resulting is disruption of supply chains and wider criminality, and will ensure those involved are held accountable for their actions."
