Bowie graffiti artist: 'I'm sticking to my guns'
A Sheffield graffiti artist who painted a tribute to David Bowie has answered back critics saying he's going to leave it up...for now.
The South Yorkshire artist who painted a mural of David Bowie which went viral says he's going to leave it up.
Trik 09's artwork is on a shop wall on Division street in Sheffield city centre.
The tribute to the singer has been criticised on social media with some saying it looked more like TV presenter Pat Sharp.
Graffiti artist Lee Redhead says he's been shocked by how the reaction to his tribute has snowballed saying the last 24 hours have been "mad" and "crazy":

"I've had a hell of a lot of negative comments about it but some good ones too. It's been crazy. It's blown up over the internet.

"David Bowie passed away and I did a tribute piece to him. It's a very touchy subject when you do a piece of artwork for someone who's passed away because if you don't get the likeness right straight away people won't like it. It's as simple as that and I can't do anything about that. I didn't get the likeness right on it, that's my bad."

Despite the negative comments he said he hasn't decided yet if he's going to take it down:
**
"I'm going to stick to my guns at the moment because although it's got a bad rep it's a version of him. At the end of the day I'm not a hyper realistic artist. My style's a lot more cartoony. I haven't done an actual portrait of someone for years so for me to come down and do this, it's jumping out of my comfort zone."

He's asked people not to judge him based on this one piece.
