Ben was 21 months old when he went missing on the Greek island of Kos in 1991
South Yorkshire Police say they're looking into claims that someone has come forward saying they are the missing toddler Ben Needham.
Ben was 21 months old when he disappeared on a family holiday in Greece in 1991. His whereabouts remain unknown, with officers previously working to the assumption Ben is no longer alive.
The Needham family have previously alleged he was kidnapped.
Now, officers in South Yorkshire say they're examining claims that a man has come forward claiming to be the missing 1 year old, who would be aged 36 if still alive.
In their statement, South Yorkshire Police wrote: "We recently received a report of a woman who believes her partner to be missing person Ben Needham."
"Enquiries are ongoing into the report.
"Ben's family are aware of this report, and we will continue to keep them up to date with our enquiries.
"We will continue to support them in their endeavour to discover the truth of what happened on 24 July 1991."
