Man in life threatening condition after Barnsley moped crash

The man was riding a pink-coloured moped when he struck a kerb and fell from the vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious moped crash in Ardsley, Barnsley, which has left a 37-year-old man fighting for his life.

The incident took place early on Thursday (January 29), just before 6am on Cumberland Drive.

The man was riding a pink-coloured moped when he struck a kerb and fell from the vehicle.

He sustained serious injuries and remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.

Officers are eager to hear from anyone who saw the collision or has footage showing the moped and its rider prior to the crash.
