After a season with plenty of drama for both teams, only one will be able to book their place in the Championship.

Tens of thousands of fans are making the trip from different parts of South Yorkshire, for this huge game.

It is a game that sees third take on fourth from the regular campaign, while Wednesday ended ten points clear, Barnsley did the league double.

After Darren Moore's side completed one of the greatest comebacks in play-off history beating Peterborough United on penalties, they may feel fate is on their side.

Michael Smith is their top scorer with 18 this campaign in League One.

The Owls ended the season two points off an automatic promotion place.

Barnsley:

Barnsley defeated Bolton Wanderers in two tight games to get through to the final, Liam Kitching scoring the winner with a header in the second leg.

Devante Cole finished as their top scorer with 15 for the regular campaign.

Michael Duff gained promotion with his previous club Cheltenham Town during the 2020/21 season.
