Attempted murder arrest after police officer attacked with a hammer in Sheffield
It happened during a raid in Longley this morning
A man's being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder after a police officer was attacked with a hammer in Sheffield.
The assault happened when police were raiding a house on Longley Hall Road this morning at around 11.10am.
The officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries but has since been discharged.
A 34 year old man's been arrested and remains in police custody.
