Two men have been arrested following the death of 22 year old Jordan Thomas following a shooting in Sheffield City Centre

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of Jordan Thomas following a shooting on Derek Dooley Way in Sheffield in December. The men - aged 26 and 29 - are being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder after they were arrested in Broomhall this morning.

South Yorkshire Police have released the following statement

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of Jordan Thomas, who was shot dead in Sheffield in December 2014.

Two men, aged 26 and 29, were arrested in the Broomhall area of Sheffield this morning (Tuesday 10 March).

They were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and will remain in police custody and be questioned by detectives.

Jordan, 22, from the Firshill part of Sheffield, was killed on Sunday 21 December when the car he was in was shot at in Derek Dooley Way, Sheffield.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later from gun shot injuries.
