Police are appealing for information following a reported stabbing in Sheffield last night.
Police are appealing for information following a reported stabbing in Sheffield last night.
They were called to Ecclesfield Road at around 9.30pm to reports a 27-year-old man had been assaulted.
The man was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds that were deemed to be life-threatening.
He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Ecclesfield Road was closed for a time while emergency services responded to the incident, and police will remain in the local community carrying out their enquiries.
Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
