An 18 year old has become the second man to be charged with attempted murder, after a man was seriously injured last month in Rotherham.

Police were called on May 24 to FitzWilliam Road finding a 48 year old with serious injuries.

He remains in a critical condition in hospital with injuries thought to have been caused by a vehicle.

The 18 year old was arrested along with a 30 year old man, who is being questioned on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

The first person charged, 22 year old Marcin Chroback of Bawtry Road in Rotherham, has been remanded into custody.

A 45 year old man previous arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on bail, with a 25 year old woman being told she'll face no further action in the case.

Two men, aged 25 and 27, remain out on bail on suspicion of assisting an offender and fraud.
