A 19 year old's been jailed for life for brutally murdering Dinnington teenager Leonne Weeks.
"You killed her for the sake of it"
Shea Peter Heeley deliberately befriended the 16 year old and then lured her to a secluded spot where he killed her in a "brutally violent'' attack last January, a judge told Sheffield Crown Court.
Judge Watson jailed Heeley for life and ordered that he serve a minimum term of 24-and-a-half years, adding:
"If you continue to pose a danger to the public, it may very well be that you will never be released.''
Leonne Weeks's body was found on Lordens Hill in Dinnington on 15th January last year - she'd been stabbed at least 28 times.
Heeley was said to have had an unhealthy preoccupation with murder - he told friends he was a psychopath and police found more than a thousand google searches on his phone for things like murder, weapons and serial killers.
In the days before Leonnoe's death he'd googled 'how to get away with murder' and at a mental health hospital after Leonne's death, Heeley told staff "I like that've I've done it. I just do. I like killing.
"I like that I did it. I just do. I like killing"
Judge Watson said it was a "pre-planned, brutal and pitiless killing of a young girl who had her whole life ahead of her."
"You killed her for the sake of it," he said
Shea Heeley was jailed for life, with a minimum of 24 and a half years.
He's already served more than a year of that.
