The 10 most popular gigs of 2016 in Sheffield have been revealed

This year venues across Sheffield have played host to some fantastic gigs including superstars such as Ellie Goulding and Justin Bieber at the Sheffield Arena, but which were the most popular gigs of 2016?

A Ticketmaster survey asked 85 million fans around the world what their most popular live event was and according to the research Nickleback topped the list in Sheffield with Justin Bieber in third place.

When it came to the national results Coldplay appeared three times in the Top 10, in first, fifth and seventh places.

Ticketmaster have also released details for the most anticipated events of 2017 which unsurprisingly also includes Coldplay in second place, along with Take That and Robbie Williams in third and first places respectively.
