Elton John got his own exclusive disco ball Nike trainers and they are amazing
So shiny!
Sir Elton has had a Nike trainer created in his honour: the "Jet" Nike Air Force 1. The shoe is a metallic design which looks a bit like a disco ball, and also a knight's armour, echoing Elton's recent knighthood!
The shoe, inspired by the LGBT community, features a rainbow Swoosh and has the slogan 'BETRUE' printed on the tongue. The gradient on the outer sole reflects other colour choices from the Air Force collection.
The trainer was designed and produced exclusively at Nike's World HQ, based in the US state of Oregon. Nike reportedly presented the gift to Elton during a gig he was playing in the state on March 4th! Check out the design here...
Back in the 70s, Sir Elton John was given one-off freebies from a Nike employee by the name of Geoff Hollister. How great that the relationship has now been resurrected!
