Flood victims across South Yorkshire tell us it's 'impossible' not to think about climate change and the impact of global warming every day.

It's as new research by the British Red Cross suggests two in three people are worried about the extreme weather we've seen over the past few years.

Ann McGill had to evacuate her home in Fishlake near Doncaster back in 2019 due to flooding:

"There's always the fear that it's going to happen again. Especially those people who're living in bungalows. They can't safely get above the water level in flooding emergencies, which is what happened in November 2019.

"We can't leave things to chance anymore when the River Don comes over. Climate anxiety becomes more real when you live in a community which's been directly affected.

"We're all aware of what's happening around the world with global warming, but when it hits you, that's when you realise you can lose everything-even in a wealthy, civilised country like ours.

"Since 2019, people discuss the river levels more and go to the banks to check what's happening when we've had a few days of rain. That never used to happen here.

"All the extra water that comes along with climate change has to be managed better. If not, communities will be ruined, and ecosystems will be destroyed."
