WATCH: The action-packed Tomb Raider trailer has been released

After much anticipation the second trailer for the new Tomb Raider film has been released and it's as action-packed as you'd imagine. The new film stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, taking over from Angelina Jolie who has played the role in the previous two Tomb Raider films in 2001 and 2003.
In the new film, simply titled Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is a 21-year-old woman without any real focus or purpose. Determined to make her own way in life, and not just live off her late father's global empire, Lara works in trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making her monthly rent!
Seven years after his death she is still not convinced that he has gone and decides to leave behind everything, to go in search of her dad’s last-known destination - a fabled tomb on a mythical island.
However, when Lara arrives, she realises it won't be an easy mission as she has to push herself beyond her limits in order to reach her destination.
In the run up to teasing the release of the film trailer Warner Bros have released some of the amazing concept art for the film showing the beautiful, now overgrown Byzantine tombs.
Now that the trailer has been released you can get a good insight into what the new film will look like - with its action-packed scenes of Lara fighting against the elements.
Tomb Raider is expected to to be released in the coming months and will star Dominic West as Lord Richard Croft, Lara's late dad and Walton Goggins as Mathias Vogel, a rival archaeologist of Lord Croft.
