Noel Edmonds' I'm A Celebrity fee: His outrageous six-figure fee broken down
We'd love literally just one hour of his fee
This year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been one of the BEST ones yet. Yes, there might not have been quite so many fall-outs or dramas in general, but the I'm A Celebrity campmates have still kept us tuning in every single night without fail.
However, one major shock that left most of us utterly gobsmacked was the fact that telly legend Noel Edmonds was the FIRST to be booted off the show. Apparently, show bosses had been desperate to get him to sign up to the jungle, and had offered him the gig many times over the years.
Thankfully, he gave in this year after some persuasion from host Declan Donnelly and his 15-year-old son Harrison, and was a late entry to the group - reportedly costing a whopping £600,000, which is the highest-ever fee for the show, trumping his fellow 2018 campmate Harry Redknapp, who was thought to be the highest-ever at £500,000.
As a late entry, producers decided to stir the pot a little, and declared Noel Emperor of the camp - which of course, ruffled some feathers between the original 10 campmates.
They appeared to get on much better once his Emperor status was redacted, but most of us were left stunned after he was the first to go once the evictions started coming.
This means that the 69-year-old was in the camp for 10 days, earning a reported £600,000 for those 10 days. We thought we'd do a little maths on the matter, just out of pure shock, to see what Noel could have earned after a minute, an hour and a week in the jungle. You could say we have too much time on our hands. Yet, here you are, reading this, so 🤷♀️.
So if Noel earned £600,000 overall, that means he earned £60,000 a day, £2,500 an hour, £41.67 every minute and 69p a second. WOWZA.
How much did Noel Edmonds earn in the I'm A Celebrity... jungle?
After 12 minutes of being in the jungle, he could afford to take himself and his 10 campmates to have lobster at the Ivy
Lobster is £44 at the prestigious Ivy in London, so Noel could have forked out for him and his pals.
After a day and a half, Noel could have had a swimming pool built in his garden
The internet says it costs around £100,000 to have a pool built in your garden, so Noel could have done that no problem after a day and a half.
He could have a private Christmas shindig from Shakin' Stevens with 20k left over after a day
According to reports, it allegedly costs £40,000 to buy a private performance from the King of Christmas himself.
After one minute, Noel could have bought a Mr Blobby costume
Noel could have actually become his old pal after one minute, with Mr Blobby costumes coming in at £49 on Amazon.
After just over a day, Noel could buy his beloved black cab and a single decker bus
Noel expressed his desire to own both a black cab AND a bus - he could afford BOTH after being in the jungle for just over one day.
With his full fee, Noel could win the Deal Or No Deal top prize TWICE over - with £100k change
The top fee on Deal Or No Deal was, of course, £250,000 - meaning Noel could have won it TWICE and even have a tidy little £100,000 as change.
After being in the jungle for a second, Noel could have bought himself TWO Freddos - and had change left over
Freddos now cost an extortionate 26p, but Noel could have gotten TWO after just one second.
Noel could have paid for a return flight to Australia - NOT camping in the jungle
With a return flight costing around £2,500, Noel would only have had to step foot in the jungle for one hour to afford it. Not that he'll probably ever want to go back, tbh.
With his full fee, Noel could afford a small island off the coast of America
Yup - really. Noel could buy a small island off America for around £600,000.
After eight hours, Noel could afford a week long cruise round the Caribbean for two
WE would even stay in the I'm A Celeb jungle for eight hours if it meant a Caribbean cruise.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
