Mary J. Blige, Elton John and Celine Dion to perform at GRAMMYS anniversary special
It takes place later this month
Mary J. Blige, Elton John and Celine Dion are just a few of the huge names announced to perform at a one-off GRAMMYS anniversary special later this month.
The GRAMMYs Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special has been described as an 'all-encompassing retrospective packed with epic moments', which will feature rare archival footage, exclusive interviews, and special appearances from a whole host of stars.
Taking to the stage on the night will be music icons such as Elton John who said of his involvement, "Everybody I've performed with on the GRAMMYs is brilliant and I've learned a lot from them, and I've enjoyed the experience so much. What I love about the GRAMMYs is seeing people, the true artists come on … the people who last the test of time, and they always give me goosebumps."
Also performing at this GRAMMYs anniversary special will be 'My Heart Will Go On' singer Celine Dion, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran and 'The Boss' Bruce Springsteen.
The full list of performers include Christina Aguilera, Dave Grohl, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Ricky Martin, Paul McCartney, P!nk, Blake Shelton, Sting, Justin Timberlake, U2, Underwood, and Keith Urban.
The programme, which will be hosted by GRAMMY winners John Legend and Carrie Underwood, will highlight some of the most memorable GRAMMY moments from the past five decades, taking viewers behind the scenes and revealing unknown facts about some of the remarkable performances.
Special segments of the show will include reactions from GRAMMY producers and members of the music community following some legendary performances. These will include Paul McCartney bringing the Beatles' legendary album, 'Abbey Road', to the GRAMMY stage.
The GRAMMYs Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special will be shown in the US on the CBS Network on Friday 24th November. There is no information yet on when it will be shown in the UK.
Performers Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Paul McCartney were recently announced as one of Forbes' 20 highest-paid European celebrities.

Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic has 12 Grand Slam singles title under his belt.
14. Sebastian Vettel (Germany; $38.5M)
Four-time Formula One World Champion, Sebastian Vettel is the second racing driver to be featured in the Highest-Paid European Celebrities 2017.
13. Tiesto (Netherlands, $39M)
A big name in the dance music scene Tiesto is a festival favourite around the world, however whilst he might be the second highest paid DJ in the world, the Dutchman is only ranked at number 13 in this list.

Known for his blunt comments on The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, the talent show judge is also known for starting the careers of many successful artists including One Direction.

British race driver Lewis Hamilton is a three-time Formula One World Champion and is widely regarded as one of the best drivers of his generation.
10. Calvin Harris (UK; $48.5M)
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is one of the highest paid DJs in the world, but could only just get into the top ten of the Highest-Paid European Celebrities 2017. This year the music producer has released a number of songs collaborating with the likes of Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande.
