VW Festival
Cash for Kids Yorkshire raised £18,277.90!!
To say it's been a success would be a huge understatement as latest news in from the VW camp has revealed over £18,277.90 has been raised by this year's VW Festival Charity raffle for Yorkshire's Cash for Kids charity.
The VW Festival, in its eleventh year, saw over 20,000 people through its gates at Harewood House this weekend as car enthusiasts mingled with fun seeking families and music fans to support the event.
This year organizers Paul Scott and Shane Beardsley chose a charity which works primarily to help sick, disabled and disadvantaged children for their fundraiser, offering the prize winner a lovingly restored VW Beetle which has been brought back to life by Leeds based Herbie Hospital.
The festival, which has grown year on year in popularity, treated day and weekend visitors to day and night time entertainment with compelling music acts, circus, canine and car themed fun while trade, VW merchandise and festival themed stalls lined the main field alongside food stalls catering for all tastes.
Social media went into frenzy as the curtain came down on another well organized VW Festival with everyone tweeting their thanks to the organizers and entertainers and many already clearing a space in their calendar for next year!
