Approved Food is the largest online retailer of short dated and residual stock food and drinks. They want to be more than just an online retailer, they want to be as synonymous to online grocery as Google is to search and Facebook is to social networking. The majority of their stock is short-dated or past its best before date, so they are able to buy in large quantities and pass considerable savings on to our customers.
They have ensured that no edible food ends up going to landfill by ‘rehoming’ more than 2500 jars of short dated baby food that was left over following the recent Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign. It took a matter of days for the food to sell, after this they donated £500 of the revenue generated to the charity.
