Ronan Keating has confirmed some sad news for Boyzone fans. Speaking this morning on our sister station Magic,** the radio presenter confirmed the news that was broken earlier than he had planned, that Boyzone's new album and tour, would be their last.

Ronan revealed that the news was broken before the band had wanted it to be, by someone who had been told in confidence. He went onto explain to his co-host Harriet, that they were left "high and dry", saying they spent a lot of time discussing it and working out what to say.

You can watch Ronan Keating speaking below:

However, it's not all bad news for fans as Ronan confirmed there would be a farewell tour along with their new album, described as their, 'biggest and best'.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Boyzone and last week they posted a copy of a magazine page from 1996. The caption read, 'Who remembers the video for Words? We’ve taken a look back in the magazine archives and found this article from behind the scenes on the video shoot!'

And the photo showed photos of the group looking very young, with the headline 'The word is out!'

Last week Boyzone also posted a copy of the artwork for 'All That I Need' saying, 'All That I Need’ is 20 years old! The single was released on 20th April 1998 and went on to be a number 1 single! Can anyone remember what the b-sides to the single were? #bz25 #boyzone #allthatineed #wherewebelong'.
