Welcome to Wrexham scores big at the Emmys

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have paid tribute to the Welsh town after Welcome to Wrexham wins five awards at the Creative Arts Emmys.
"Wrexham - we love you," said Ryan Reynolds in a video posted on X, dressed as his famous Marvel character Deadpool.
"Thank you for letting Rob and the other guy tell your story," said Deadpool, "Cymru am byth b......s!"
Co-owner Rob McElhenney, described the awards as "an incredible honour."
"There are so many people to thank, I've been waiting for this moment for 16 years."
In another post McElhenney said: "WOW. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who worked on Welcome to Wrexham, but most importantly to the people of Wrexham.
"I am honoured that you’ve let us tell your story. I hope we’re doing you proud."
The series follows the football club's rise to success after it was bought by the two Hollywood actors.
The pair have since become popular amongst fans, with the two actors consistently engaging with players, the town and it's supporters.
In an online out-of-Deadpool-character post, Reynolds said: "Thank you to the town of Wrexham and Wrexham AFC for allowing us to witness your story and tell it.
"This has been the greatest privilege of my life. Thank you Emmy Awards for the honour."
The show has come with praise from fans and critics alike, culminating in awards success.
Last night in LA, it picked up best unstructured reality program, alongside awards in directing, picture editing, sound mixing and cinematography.
