A piano from Rockfield Studios in Monmouth is being auctioned tomorrow at a starting price of around £20,000 pounds.
The legendary instrument is a Yamaha G3 acoustic grand piano, used by bands such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, The Proclaimers and more.
It's set to sell on November 17 in London as part of Bonhams' Film, Rock and Pop auction, for an estimated price of around £20,000-£30,000 thousand pounds.
The piano, built around 1972, is from the Coach House Studio - one of Rockfield's two world-renowned recording studios.
It's featured on albums like Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, the self-named The Charlatans and The Stone Roses' The Second Coming.
The instrument was also played on Oasis' Wonderwall, arguably one of the biggest tracks in Britpop history.
Rockfield, located in Monmouth, is a rural recording studio that has been temporary home to some of the most iconic musicians in the past, including Freddie Mercury, who famously recorded Bohemian Rhapsody during his stay.
